Brain tumors are the most common solid tumors in children. Approximately 4,000 children and adolescents in the U.S. are diagnosed with primary brain tumors each year. We are one of only a few facilities in Northern California to offer the state-of-the-art 3-Tesla magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner, which allows us to study detailed maps and images of critical functions.
This level of accuracy in diagnosis provides an essential advantage for your child by allowing us to develop unique, lower-risk surgical treatments tailored to their specific needs. Working in one of the most technologically advanced hospitals in the country empowers our multidisciplinary team to do their very best work for your child.
